The staff, scholars, and parents/guardians of the Therapeutic & Readiness Center are committed to helping all scholars acquire the academic, social, and behavioral skills necessary for general education participation. We believe that our scholars have the right to learn these skills in a safe, structured, therapeutic environment.
TRC was established in 1996 with the major focus of socializing scholars to normative standards in terms of interpersonal skills with peers and adults, teaching classroom behaviors that promote learning, and encourage problem-solving skills that eschew violent and aggressive strategies.
TRC provides special education services for approximately 120-140 students at a time. Our population provides intense intervention for students with a variety of disabilities, including those eligible with ED, AU, OHI, and ID.
